Cowboy Camp Information

As of June 1st, Cowboy Camp 2023 is full.  If we have additional openings, we would love for your child to be able to attend.  Please call (580) 276-7062 or (580) 467-7289 to have your child placed on a waiting list. Once on the waiting list, we will let you know if we have an opening. 

 

For those who have already Registered to attend Cowboy Camp 2023--

 

We are looking forward to you attending Cross and Crown Cowboy Camp.

This year’s camp is scheduled for June 22-24 (Thursday-Saturday).

The camp is for young people ages 7-6th Grade.

Our goal is to allow young people an opportunity to learn more about riding horses, as well as have fun and learn Christian principles. The camp will be held at Cross and Crown Ministries (directions are listed below).

The cost for camp is $50.00.  

Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt, craft items, and snacks.  Campers will also have an opportunity to ride horses, play games and participate in other fun activities scheduled for each day. The camp schedule is listed below.

June 22-24

7:45 Sign in (registration)

8:00 Opening

8:30-12:30 Horseback riding, horse care, fishing, crafts, western arts, games, Bible, character time

12:30-1:10 Lunch— *Each camper needs to bring his/her own sack lunch on Thursday and Friday

(coolers will be available to store them until lunch)

*Lunch will be provided on Saturday.

*Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day.

1:10-2:10  Camp Stations

2:10-2:40  Chapel

2:40-3:00 Cowboy Camp Roundup—Special Activities

3:00  End of the trail—parents pick up children*

*On Saturday, camp will end at 3:30

Please make sure you have completed all registration forms--see below.

There are two forms (Medical/Photo Release and Liability Release) you must print, complete and return with your camp payment. You can access these forms by clicking on "Camp Registration" on the menu bar.

These forms will also be available when you check your camper in on the first day.  If you have not paid, you can also pay the first day of camp as well.

If you need to make arrangements concerning payment, just give us a call. Also, there are a few scholarships available for those who really need help in order for a child to attend camp.

Note: Medical and photo release form--requires signature; Liability release--This form must be signed and notarized. (There will be a notary available the first day of camp-but a parent/guardian would have to be present to sign paperwork)

 

Medical/Photo Release and Liability Release forms, along with payment, may be returned by:

-turning them in at Nita’s Flowers-downtown Marietta

-or mail to: Cross and Crown Cowboy Camp; PO Box 307; Marietta, OK 73448

-or bring them with you the first day of camp.

DRESS CODE:

Campers must wear close-toe shoes –can bring boots for riding; sneakers for games and activities ( no sandals or flip-flops)

WHAT TO BRING:

Reminder: Lunch for Thursday and Friday

Recommended for campers to wear/bring sunscreen and insect repellent

DIRECTIONS TO CROSS AND CROWN RANCH: (Look for the signs)

Go 3 miles South of Marietta on Hwy 77

Turn East on McGehee Road (was called Loves Valley Road)—go 1 mile

Turn South at Cross And Crown Ranch sign (intersection of McGehee Road and Cemetery Rd)

Go 1 mile—dead end road
